Alphera Financial Services has appointed BMW/Mini national leasing manager Adam Harley as its new head of key accounts.

Harley, who has been employed by the German premium carmaker for 15 years, will assume responsibility for managing and growing relationships with the independent finance provider’s major PLC partners, brokers and premium captive businesses, according to Alphera.

Based at the company’s national headquarters in Farnborough, he will draw on years of expertise of developing “high value, strategic relationships to help Alphera continue along its impressive growth trajectory”, it said in a statement.

Alphera director, Spencer Halil, said: “Even during challenging times, a company powered by motivated, talented and skilled employees as well as true organisational customer centricity can thrive.

“Adam’s appointment is a huge advantage for Alphera as we further develop our role as a high value part of the BMW Group family.”

Alphera said that it had funded £1.5 billion in car finance during 2019, a 120% increase over the previous year – with the number of contracts growing by 90,000.

This year, the company is targeting further year-on-year growth, and by the end of July claimed that it was already on track to achieve its original, pre-COVID growth projections.

Harley said: “Alphera’s story is one of continued profitability based on long-term partnerships and strategic consultancy.

“As the company approaches 15 years in the UK market, my aim is to bring some fresh ideas to how Alphera can continue to grow with partners and add value to the Group, based on principles of sustainability and transparency.”
