Aston Barclay has won an exclusive contract with Cargiant, which will see its Chelmsford auction site handle all of Cargiant’s part exchanges throughout 2016.

The UK's third largest remarketing group has built on its existing relationship with the West London-based used car supermarket for the past decade, and now the solus agreement will see Aston Barclay supply a complete remarketing service for Cargiant.

Aston Barclay said it means more than 10,000 Cargiant vehicles will appear across the Monday evening and Wednesday sales programmes at its Chelmsford auction facility during 2016.

Trade buyers will have access to Cargiant stock via Aston Barclay’s LIVE online service in addition.

Cargiant will also have access to cloud-based reporting through Aston Barclay’s Inventory Management System (IMS).

Adrian Dunbar, branch manager, Aston Barclay Chelmsford, said: “This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for us; we have successfully grown the reputation of Cargiant used stock in the marketplace.”

Cargiant added: “Aston Barclay’s complete remarketing solution made them an obvious choice, having delivered exceptional service and performance when dealing with our vehicles over the last ten years. The facilities at their Chelmsford site are second-to-none, giving us full confidence that this new agreement will prove fruitful for Cargiant and Aston Barclay.”

Cargiant claims to be the world's largest used car dealership, with up to 8,000 vehicles in stock at any point.
