CDK Global has launched Digital Documents, a paperless solution to help dealerships digitise post-sale processes and reduce paperwork.

Powered by MotorDocs’, Digital Documents will provide dealerships with access to iDealFile, that integrates with Autoline Drive and Autoline Revision 8 to turn unsecured, paper-based sales documents into digitally signed, visible and auditable data.

Digital Documents will help retailers to streamline processes and allow for safe and secure transactions and sales, said CDK.

Joaquim Croca, vice president of commercial at CDK, said: “We know the pressure that the last few months have placed on our customers and their existing systems, and we want to support them throughout these challenging times.

“We listened to our customers, focusing on helping them emerge from this period stronger than before. Greater connectivity and digital tools were clear and immediate requirements. Our launch of Digital Documents is a significant step for our customers on their digitisation journey.”

CDK recently launched Pay By Link, a new contact-free payment solutions for dealers, that enables customers to pay for cars or services while maintaining social distance.

CDK said, dealers can improve security by reducing the need for paper documentation and increase productivity, cutting up to four hours per deal file.

Peter Haynes, managing director of Howards Motor Group, said: “By digitising our post-sale processes and removing huge volumes of paperwork, we have delivered significant cost savings and efficiencies already.

“The introduction of iDealFile has and will continue to improve workflow right across the group – the ability to capture signatures remotely and in a contact-free way is just one example of the added-value functionality that iDealFile offers and a real win in the current times.”

iDealFile is the first solution to be launched as part of Digital Documents, with the integration of iServiceFile to follow in early 2021.
