A ‘Citroën EVent’ set to be launched on World EV Day (September 9) will give car retail customers £750 off the Stellantis brand’s range of zero-emissions vehicles.

The ë-C4 Electric, New C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid and New C5 X Plug-in Hybrid are all included among the events offers as the French brand bids to boost its registrations in the key plate-change month for retailers.

Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data published today (September 5) showed that Citroën was among the UK’s best performing car brands in August, with registrations up 98.4% to 2,387.

Citroën UK managing director, Eurig DruceEurig Druce, Citroën UK’s managing director, suggested that promoting the brand’s EV range – and its event between September 9 and 12 – would be key to its success. He said: “Our ‘Power to The People’ philosophy means that we already offer nine electrified models that satisfy a diverse range of needs, from our disruptive Ami 100% ëlectric to our popular ë-C4 Electric and through to the plug-in hybrid variants of New C5 X and New C5 Aircross, and we will have an electrified variant across our entire model line-up by 2025.”

Citroën said that its ‘Power to The People’ philosophy is a fundamental part of its Fair Pricing policy, meaning that the brand is committed to making electrification accessible to all by offering “every kind of electric for all kinds of people”.
