Maxus has launched its own light commercial vehicle (LCV) scrappage scheme to coincide with the launch of Transport for London’s own £110 million bid to reduce emissions.

The LCV manufacturer’s 49 UK retailers will be offering up to £14,000 off its eDeliver 9 electric van as part of a retail offer open from January 27 to August 31, while eDeliver 3, T90EV pick-up and MIFA 9 MPV customers can all benefit from £1,000 off.

Is offer includes a free home or workplace charger.

Maxus’ scrappage scheme arrives as Transport For London (TfL) launches a £110 million scheme offering van owners £5,000 to help them buy a vehicle that will comply with regulations imposed by the capital’s recently-expanded ULEZ.

Commercial vehicle owners in Sheffield and Newcastle have also recently been faced with the prospect of updating their vehicles to meet new emissions standards imposed by clean air zones.
