BCA has announced the appointment of James Hopkins as managing director of BCA Fleet Solutions, effective from November 27.

The announcement follows the recent news that previous incumbent Tony Booth will be taking responsibility for the new de-fleet centre in Corby for the Volkswagen Group.

Hopkins (pictured) is currently the director of BCA Group Solutions and brings with him a broad knowledge of the automotive sector.

He has previously worked in a diverse number of roles across the whole supply chain including remarketing, fleet operations, leasing, financial services and captive insurance.

Hopkins also held senior roles for companies such as Mazda UK and Europe, Ford and LeasePlan.

BCA Services’ divisional chief executive, Ian Carlisle, said: “His knowledge and understanding of BCA’s full value chain of automotive supply will be critical as we continue to develop intelligent, joined-up solutions for customers that utilise all of the BCA services across the automotive marketplace.

“His experience of multi-site high volume operations, business development, customer services and working in competitive industries will be invaluable especially when supported by the strong team that already exists in Fleet solutions.

"We are looking forward to taking BCA Fleet Solutions on the next step of its journey.”
