Handsome looks, good build quality and strong performance coupled with a combined fuel figure of 51.4 mpg make the TT an excellent all-round package.
Even the boot has 250 litres of luggage space. Handling is comfortably taken care of by the Quattro system that drives all four wheels and helps the car sticks to the road like glue.
Base price is £28,430, although the one AM tested had several extras, including a BOSE surround sound system (£465).
