7 The new Mazda CX-30 compact SUV

Mazda Motors UK has confirmed the pricing for its CX-30 compact SUV, which is available to order now.

The new model, which is based on the new Mazda 3, costs from £22,895 and will arrive in dealerships in January.

It is offered with a choice of two 2.0-litre petrol engines and five trim levels.

The cheaper Skyactiv-G has 122PS while the Skyactiv-X has 180PS. Both units incorporate a 24v mild-hybrid system.

Mazda said the Skyactiv-X engine is the ideal alternative to diesel in a segment that has seen demand for diesel powered cars dramatically reduce.

The CX-30 Skyactiv-X can achieve a combined mpg of 47.9, while the G manages 45.6.

All-wheel-drive is also available on the Skyactiv-X and automatic gearboxes are offered with all configurations.

The CX-30 range comes equipped with a colour head-up display, radar cruise control and LED headlights on all models.

SE-L Lux adds reversing camera and power tailagate, plus front parking sensors, keyless entry and heated front seats.

Sport Lux get larger alloy wheels, privacy glass and gloss black trim pieces.

GT Sport adds leather trim with electrically adjustable front seats, Bose speakers and a heated steering wheel.

Range topping GT Sport Tech gets 360-degree camera, and a semi-autonomous lane keeping system that is linked to the cruise control.

The Mazda CX-30 can be ordered now, with deliveries in January 2020.
