Used Car Sales Controller - Independent Dealership

Our client is looking for a "top rung" Sales Controller to lead their sales team at their Used Car Dealership based in Cannock. The company has a car for every type of person so a car can be sold to the whole of the market. This job would be ideal for a motivated Business Manager or Transaction Manager who is looking to step up into a more senior role.

As a Sales Controller you will lead, motivate, manage and drive your team to provide customer service excellence, whilst delivering against the company's key performance indicators. As Sales Controller you will ensure the dealership is well managed with cars, take responsibility for the presentation of the Retail Centre, build and maintain strong relationships with your team. You will work closely with other departments and will be hands-on with the day-to-day running of the centre and achieve the highest sales results and customer service standards.

Alongside your customer-centric attitude, you will be commercially minded, passionate about the car industry, and motivated by setting, achieving and exceeding targets.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A proven track record in sales (within the Automotive Industry)
The ability to lead by example, manage and inspire the team to deliver an Incredible performance.
Experience supervising a team.
Strong customer focus
Great computer literacy
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Self-motivationYour Responsibilities

To unleash the potential of the sales team by setting stretching objectives and providing regular feedback on performance against these objectives
To resource the sales team appropriately on a day-to-day and longer-term basis.
Maintain good relationships.
Ensure that compliance is enforced and that it meets all the obligations relating to the customer experience and to the manufacturer's standards within the Sales arena
Full understanding of manufacturer targets ensuring the team are maximising every opportunity.
Encourage the sales team to review processes to ensure they are working most efficiently.
Be receptive to new ways of doing things and actively encourage the sales team to try out new ideas.
Inspire the sales team to deliver an Incredible Customer Experience for every customer that the sales team comes into contact with.
Manage the day-to-day sales activities such as deal files, handovers, and sales funnel to maximise sales revenue.

Working Pattern

Your working pattern will cover a mixture of weekends and weekdays, mainly long days of 4 or 5 days per week, rota dependent.

Pay and Benefits

As a Sales Controller, you will receive a base salary of up to £49,000 plus other company incentives, competitions etc.
