Fiat has been forced to halt production at Turin after running out of space to store new vehicles as a result of a dispute with the logistics company that moves them to dealerships.

Fiat said it would also have to cancel Saturday's scheduled day of overtime at its Sevel plant in Val di Sangro for the same reason.

Fiat said that, if prolonged, the dispute between its transport service providers could have significant economic effects for both its production plants and car dealers.
