The company, which offers bespoke vehicle preparation and distribution services for the likes of Aston Martin and Maserati, is in talks with several large dealer groups and bodyshop chains to offer guaranteed preferential rates for customers. The service will be supported by the Ontime Rescue & Recovery fleet.
“Ontime Rescueplus can be tailored to meet the requirements of a particular manufacturer, dealer group or bodyshop,” says Ontime group managing director, David Brinklow.
“For instance, whether it is the dealership’s customer’s fault or not, and providing the customer is insured on a fully comprehensive basis, the recovery service can be free to the member.”
Ontime believes the scheme provides a viable alternative to traditional motoring club memberships offered by the AA and RAC. It is available to individuals as well as fleet operators and membership is free with the service available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
“The advantages to the member and the dealership are that customers will be dealing with the garage of their choice, and dealers will retain their customer’s business,” adds Brinklow.
