Ghosn aims to transform Renault into a global brand

Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn has announced he plans to completely transform Renault’s brand image by the end of this year to make it a truly global brand, while remaining ‘very French’.

In a Wall Street Journal report, the increase of sales outside its home market and in emerging markets is crucial to Ghosn’s plans for the company. Export sales are targeted to rise from 27% last year to 37% by 2009.
