GMAC UK has appointed Erhard (Ed) Paulat as its new managing director.

Paulat is succeeding Theo Kortland, who becomes European project director as well as chief operating officer of the UK business.

In addition, Gudrun Klaff has been appointed UK brand manager, taking over from Barry Willson, who has held the position for the past two years.

Formerly operations director, Klaff assumes responsibility for managing GMAC’s relationship with the three GM manufacturers in the UK – Vauxhall, Saab and Chevrolet. He will also be responsible for marketing and product development.

Barry Willson has been appointed as national sales manager, with responsibility for managing GMAC’s field sales activities across GM’s three UK brands. Before being appointed brand manager, Willson was previously UK national commercial manager for GMAC.

Return of the GMAC – 3 and Easy

Chevrolet UK and GMAC (UK) have joined forces to re-launch their retail finance package, 3 and Easy. Originally intended to run for just one month from July 1, 2005, on a limited number of models, the car finance package proved popular enough to extend across the Chevrolet range and eventually ran for more than a year.

The package requires buyers to pay one-third of the vehicle’s cost up front, followed by one-third after the first 12 months and the final third at the end of the second year.

With no interest or fees, customers pay only the list price and own the vehicle outright at the end of the term.

3 and Easy will be available from January 15 across the Chevrolet range on a number of Matiz, Kalos, Lacetti and Tacuma models.
