Honda (UK) has launched a new recruitment programme to help its dealers target and assess the best technicians, sales staff and managers.

The programme has a new website - www.hondapeople.co.uk - which Honda says will help its dealers find candidates and reduce recruitment costs for those using the service.

The programme was developed by the Honda Institute, the Japanese manufacturer’s people development centre. Dealers can identify applicants with potential, which are then added to a ‘talent pool’ from which dealers can choose individuals to assess.

“The success of any business depends on the quality of the people behind it,” said Geoff Matthews, head of the Honda Institute.

“It’s important we find the right people for all roles at Honda – not just those with the correct skills, but those with the right enthusiasm, attitude and drive. Recruiting the best people to work in our dealerships is especially important as they are often a customer’s first contact with the Honda brand,” he said.
