Programme from Mobil1 aims to lift dealers' aftersales opportunities

ExxonMobil has launched the Mobil 1 Business Performance Programme to help franchised dealers boost their aftersales business.

The programme, which was previewed at the AM/NFDA Franchised Dealer Conference in June before its launch to dealers this week, covers training, product information, marketing, digital and events.

Its innovative features include Glovebox, a communications tool that gives customers their own web page, which they can populate with their car history, and use to book services online.

It also offers a live chat facility, and has a training module to help dealership staff develop a better understanding of Mobil1's engine protection and efficiency technology, plus help them on upselling and communicating with customers.

Danny McGoldrick, Mobil 1 marketing manager, UK & Ireland, said Glovebox will help dealers retain existing customers and attract new ones while optimising workshop use.
