Fiat’s Abarth 695 Maserati Edition will cost £32,000 when it goes on sale in the UK at the end of this year.

There will be 499 of the 180bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged superminis produced and it follows the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari project from three years ago. Fiat says this pocket rocket is capable of reaching 0-62mph in less than seven seconds and will go on to a top speed of 140mph.

The Abarth 695 Maserati Edition (Edizione Maserati) features style details and special technical features developed by Abarth engineers for Maserati.

Standard features include electrically-operated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox, 17-inch performance tyres, Maserati-inspired alloy wheels, front brakes with Brembo monobloc callipers and floating 305mm discs and Koni shock absorbers.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in sand beige leather, the dashboard and gearbox trim are in a special matt-finish carbon lining and customers will also get set of Tramontano leather luggage.
