Mitsubishi has revealed a sneak preview of concepts for MPV and SUV models ahead of the Toyko Motor Show in November.

The Concept GC-PHEV is Mitsubishi’s next generation full size SUV that uses a plug-in hybrid electric system. This new model could be a potential replacement for the current Shogun.

The second concept, the XR-PHEV is a compact SUV plug-in hybrid with sports coupe body styling and it’s possible this could be the next-generation ASX.

The Concept AR[ is a compact MPV which Mitsubishi says will offer the mobility of an SUV and the occupant space of an MPV. The concept model features a down-sized direct-injection turbocharged engine and this model could mean UK dealers will have an MPV model in the range again after the Grandis was discontinued in 2011.
