Glyn Hopkin has progressed its plans to become the UK’s largest independent Nissan retailer with the opening of an interim site in North London.

The creation of the temporary outlet at Stamford Hill takes the group’s tally of Nissan sites to 14, with a new showroom facility set to open later this year.

Fraser Cohen, managing director at Glyn Hopkin, said: “The decision to open our Nissan North London showroom ahead of the full site later this year demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing our customers in the area with dependable sales and aftersales support.

“The North London site will complement our nearby dealerships in East London, Romford, Buckhurst Hill and Waltham Abbey, so that customers always associate the Nissan brand with Glyn Hopkin’s excellent customer service.”

Glyn Hopkin’s temporary site at Stamford Hill employs four sales representatives and one managerial staff member, adding to a group employee head count of over 700.

The group’s very first site, Nissan Romford, opened in January 1993.

Glyn Hopkin now has more than 40 showrooms across London and the South East, representing 12 exciting brands.

In 2015, Glyn Hopkin sold more than 11,300 cars and 220 LCVs across its 13 Nissan sites.
