Vertu Motors' Ascot Mercedes-Benz showroom has undergone refurbishment as part of a £711,000 investment in the dealership.

The AM100 PLC said the work, which included an extension to the handover bay area and updates to its staff area, was part of its ongoing programme of dealership investment

The showroom now houses 10 models from the German premium car brand's range.

Adam Rich, general manager at Vertu Ascot Mercedes-Benz, said: “The results of the refurbishment are amazing and proves the investment was money well spent. The new showroom allows us to showcase many fantastic Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models, as well as electric vehicles from the Mercedes-EQ family.

“With a more spacious environment for handovers, a new barista coffee bar and an engaging digital display, the dealership is fresh, modern, and well-equipped to serve our customers well.”

The dealership houses 43 colleagues and two apprentices but is recruiting as part of Vertu's recent investment, with roles available including a technician, service advisor, service administrator and driver.

Mercedes-Benz UK's retail network is undergoimng its most signoifcant evolution in a lifetime with the introduction of agency model retail in 2023.

The new direct-to-customer distribution model was rolled out last month, with Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) data showing that the brand had delivered a 20.9% decline in UK registrations, to 5,030 units.

Mercedes' aim is to move upmarket, however, delivering a larger margin from fewer sales in luxury segments.
