Snows Motor Group expands with EV brand Polestar

Snows Motor Group has expanded with EV brand Polestar less than a year after it opened its first showroom for the carmaker.

The AM100 dealer group has just launched a Polestar Space in Plymouth, Devon, more than 100 miles from the Southampton Polestar showroom which Snows opened last summer, when it announced that it would begin rerpesenting Polestar.

Polestar UK managing director Matt Galvin said: "We’re excited to bring Polestar to Plymouth and make our cars even more accessible across the South West. This opening supports our ambition to meet customers where they are, offering a seamless and informed experience from test drive to online order."

He said Plymouth is "natural fit for Polestar’s continued UK expansion" as the South West of England is among the UK’s fastest-advancing regions for EV adoption.

Plymouth city has outlined a commitment to become carbon neutral by 2030, and as part of this transition, Plymouth has constructed 40 rapid electric charging stations and secured over £2.4 million in funding to expand public EV charging infrastructure for people without off-street parking.

Polestar Plymouth began trading on June 1 at the Langage Business Park, Plympton. Snows Motor Group already has a Toyota dealership and used car outlet nearby in the city, and it also represents premium brand Lexus in Devon at nearby Exeter.
