Today is the first day I’ve been in the office since covering Automechanika on Tuesday and Wednesday this week and the mixture of Ryanair (courtesy of Bauer Media) and a German hotel manager covered in eczema actually softened the blow of re-entering a grey Thursday morning at our Peterborough HQ.

We landed at Frankfurt Hahn which was about two hours away from the Messe exhibition centre, which meant that by the time we had our press passes around our necks I had about one minute to spare before my first meeting with Delphi.

Fast forward six interviews later and several miles in German walkways and I was looking forward to checking in to our hotel in Frankfurt’s city centre to crash out.

The amount of moaning in this blog has made me realise that I’m starting to turn into one of those stupid motoring journalists that is never satisfied with things being handed to them on a plate, whom I completely detest. It’s got to be five-star all the way with iPods handed to me for no apparent reason. I don’t think there’s anything I can do about it now so I’m just going to go with it.

So anyway, I’m off to Faro in Portugal with Renault in a couple of weeks, let’s hope the blag’s up to scratch eh? If it's a paper weight...i'm kicking off.
