Vauxhall–Meriva facelift

February 2014
February sees the revised Vauxhall Meriva go on sale with a new 1.6-litre turbodiesel engine that meets EU6 emissions regulations. It also offers 134bhp, 64.2mpg and 116g/km of carbon dioxide in the compact MPV. This engine not only offers better economy and emissions than the 1.7-litre unit it replaces, it also gives the Meriva better performance, so it now sees off 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds.
The updated Meriva is easy to spot thanks to a new grille, headlights that follow the lead of the Insignia with a more distinct outline, and chrome highlights around the foglights. There is also a new optional 18-inch alloy wheel.
