Ultra-quiet Omoda 9 SHS priced to tempt cost-conscious buyers

Starting at £44,990 OTR, the new plug-in hybrid SUV Omoda 9 SHS is designed to offer "quiet luxury, without the premium price", combining near-silent ride quality with high-end features usually reserved for pricier rivals.

Engineered with acoustic glass and noise-reducing tyres, the SUV achieves cabin sound levels as low as 45.8 dB at low speeds.

The Omoda 9 SHS offers a WLTP range of over 700 miles, 93 miles of EV-only driving, and CO₂ emissions of just 38 g/km. Under the bonnet, a system output of 449 PS and 700 Nm of torque propels the SUV from 0–62 mph in 4.9 seconds.

The 9 SHS features Omoda’s Smart Hybrid System, the same powertrain technology found in the Jaecoo 7 SHS.

Inside, the Omoda 9 SHS has a curved 24.6-inch HD display, 14-speaker SONY surround sound, and 540-degree transparent camera system for enhanced visibility. Heated and ventilated seats, electronically reclining rear seats, a 1.3m panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and air purification come as standard.

The Omoda 9 SHS is available now through Omoda’s 74-strong retailer network, with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, 3 years of unlimited mileage, an 8-year battery warranty, and RAC home start cover included.
