HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver

OTE: £42,000 per year

Basic Salary: £40,000 per year
Location: Lathbury, near Northampton, Newport Pagnell and Milton Keynes
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday with occasional overnights/weekends

We’re recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver to join a high-end vehicle delivery team based in Lathbury. You’ll be transporting prestige vehicles across the UK (and optionally into Europe) using enclosed cat transporter trucks.

About the Role:

* Load, secure, and deliver customer vehicles safely and on time

* Complete all relevant paperwork (CMRs, customs docs, digital handovers)

* Act as a brand ambassador – professional, well-presented, and customer-focused

* Follow all driving hours and tachograph regulations

* Occasionally overnight stay depending on routes

* Able to pass DBS and drug/alcohol screening

Requirements:

* Minimum 1 years’ experience with Class 1 Car Transporters (for insurance)

* Experience with Car Transporters is essential

* Valid HGV CE licence, CPC & Tacho card

* No more than 6 points (SP) on licence

* Strong communication & customer service skills

* Detail-focused, tech-savvy, and reliable

* Able to pass DBS and drugs/alcohol screening
