Mitsubishi dealers access HPI data

Eighty of Mitsubishi's 130 Red Zebra used car dealers can now use the internet to access HPI vehicle information.

Matthew Cheyne, Mitsubishi general manager fleet and used cars, said: “Being able to host HPI on our intranet means that dealers will have greater flexibility. They can save time and money on each enquiry by conducting the HPI Goldcheck online instead of via the telephone.”

Mitsubishi is the latest manufacturer to give dealers access to HPI vehicle information via the web after similar moves from Peugeot, Volvo and Vauxhall. Red Zebra dealers can use the new internet link to order Red Zebra HPI Goldcheck certificates and make NMR investigations on vehicles.

HPI checks confirm whether or not a vehicle is stolen, damaged, has outstanding finance or a recorded mileage discrepancy.
