Kia has unveiled a new manufacturer-backed five-year warranty, available across the whole Kia range and providing the opportunity for customers to increase the warranty to four years (up to 80,000 miles) or five years (up to 100,000 miles).

The warranty, which is transferable to subsequent owners, mirrors the standard three years/60,000 mile warranty which includes European roadside assistance for the full term of the warranty.

For example, for just £447 a customer can extend their warranty to five years or 100,000 miles on a Shuma or Rio.

"Kia has a strong standard warranty but this offering adds the extra peace of mind which many customers crave as well as sending a message to the marketplace about our confidence in Kia products," said Richard Bush, aftersales director. "It will be especially appreciated by customers not necessarily familiar with the Kia brand who are seeking extra reassurance."
