Visscher-Caravelle, the number plate and vehicle accessory supplier, has appointed two “goodwill ambassadors” in a pilot to boost automotive retailer business. If the scheme is successful it will be rolled out across the UK. In addition to core contract hire customers, the company supplies about 3000 dealerships on behalf of its leasing clients.

“While we have always spent time with our leasing clients, we haven't had the resources to do the same with dealers - until now,” says managing director Martyn Nash. The firm has named Vicky King as a field-based liaison officer. King will visit dealers to build relationships, inform and educate staff about new online ordering services.

“Effectively, Vicky is a goodwill ambassador,” says Nash. “We want her to create a better understanding between Visscher-Caravelle and dealerships so that we can offer high levels of service to leasing companies.”

The company has also appointed Tascha Thompson as an office-based liaison officer. Working from the firm's Milton Keynes headquarters, Thompson will be responsible for providing a quick response to supply problems. Visscher provides automotive solutions to the majority of the UK top 50 contract hire and leasing companies, including LeasePlan, Arval PHH and Lex Vehicle Leasing.
