Lookers plc's Northern Ireland subsidiary Charles Hurst has completed the acquisition of the two-outlet Vauxhall dealer Savilles Auto Village in the province for £3.3m in cash, and EM Group has bought two John Grose Group Ford outlets in East Anglia.

Lookers' chief executive Ken Surgenor said the Saville business will contribute some £40m to Lookers' turnover and impact positively on current-year earnings. Lookers is Britain's largest Vauxhall franchisee.

In Cambridgeshire, the The EMG Group has acquired two Ford dealerships in Kings Lynn and Wisbech from the John Grose Group, taking EMG's East Anglian Ford outlets to a total of eight.
