Skoda has given its Fabia supermini a facelift for 2005. A new front grille, spoiler and fog lamps, as well as new rear light clusters in the style of the new Octavia’s lights, complete the exterior changes, while inside there are new upholstery fabrics and a more modern dash.

Trim variants are also changing with the Comfort level being replaced by Ambiente, to fall in line with the Octavia. The new trim level also gets air-conditioning as standard, while top of the range Elegance models now come with rear parking sensors and cruise control as standard until the end of the year. Prices will remain unchanged. More than 90,000 Fabias have been sold in the UK since its launch in 2000 and 14,703 examples have been registered so far this year.
