The Retail Motor Industry Federation has settled out of court with Denver Rollings, dealer principal of Peugeot outlet Peter Nash Cars (Hereford) Ltd.

Both parties were due to appear at Hereford County Court this week. Peter Nash Cars had claimed that the RMIF was in breach of contract for failing to maintain the free legal service for its members which it has provided in the past.

This afternoon, AM received a joint statement on behalf of the RMIF and Rollings. It states: “Mr Rollings and RMIF have reached an amicable agreement with regard to the legal issues between them. The agreement is on the basis that there is no breach of contract or contravention of membership terms by either party.”

Peter Nash Cars (Hereford) is not connected with Peter Nash Specialist Cars in Southampton.

Note: The report published in this Friday’s issue of AM, dated December 16, went to press prior to receiving the statement from the RMIF.
