CCS, one of the UK’s leading parts distribution companies, is launching Koni’s new FSD shock absorber into the independent aftermarket.

Koni claims the FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock absorber is the first shock absorber to provide superior road handling, without compromising ride comfort.

In standard shock absorbers, the main damping characteristic is defined by the oil flow going through the piston assembly.

The additional feature of Koni FSD is a hydraulic amplifier that delays the build-up of pressure, to get the best possible combination of handling and comfort. The result is a smart suspension system that adjusts automatically to road conditions as well as driving style.

John Elkin, CCS general manager, believes the product’s simplicity will prove a real benefit to factors and installers.

“Koni has researched the market thoroughly and understands the increasing time pressures facing end users and distributors,” he says. “To this end, we have arrived at the perfect solution – a shock absorber that offers both superior road handling and optimum comfort, with the benefit of there being no electronics and no sensors.”

CCS specialises in suspension, steering, transmission, engine, auto electrics and braking and, in recent years, has gained particular experience with performance related suspension and braking products.
