Trade group explores automotive partnerships in India

The United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) business adviser Ken Hunt has met representatives of 20 companies in Jharkhand, India, to explore automotive partnership opportunities.

"World famous names, including MIRA, Millbrook, Ricardo, Cosworth and Ford, are ready to enter into partnership. Now it depends on how pro-active the companies from Jharkhand are," Hunt said at a meeting organised by the Jharkhand Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry.

A team of UK automotive firms’ representatives is currently visiting Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore to explore partnerships, and a similar team is likely to visit India again in January.
