Car supermarket Eddie Wright, is to expand its operation by building a brand new preparation centre which will include an extension to its current workshops.

Currently the company operates from a six acre site on Warren Road, Scunthorpe, which it moved to eight years ago and which now employs 70 people. It is hoped that at least another 10 people will be taken on when it opens the extension in early 2007.

Tony Wright, chairman, said: "This has been a major decision for us, but we know that in order to maintain the very high standards we demand for the cars we sell, we have to expand. We carry at least 700 cars for sale, and estimate that in the next few years this amount will rise substantially."
