Ford Retail’s £3m dealership refurbishment and re-styling programme is firmly on track to be finished by this autumn.

Under Ford Retail’s Look & Style initiative, the group has carried out work on its 55 UK sites to the required standard set by the manufacturer for its franchises.

Simon Page, group property manager for Ford Retail, says: “The work we have carried out has largely been internal.

“The only work that required planning permission was the erection of new outdoor signage at some of the dealerships.”

The cost of the refurbishments varied from site to site and costs were kept down by employing three specialist shopfitters who worked closely with the project managers.

“With regards to costs and time management we did a lot better than we expected to,” says Page.

Over the last year, 28 Ford Retail dealership refurbishments have been fully completed, while the remainder of the dealer group’s sites are already refurbished or undergoing more extensive refurbishment.
