Kia Motor UK is poised to roll out a corporate dealer programme which it expects to attract 25 retailers.

Kia’s corporate plans are well documented – in order to achieve its 100,000 sales target by 2010 it needs to raise its corporate sales proportion from 10% to 30%; in volume terms from 4,000 to 30,000 cars.

Corporate dealers will receive subsidies from Kia to help with fixed costs, including favourable rates for demo cars, and will be expected to have dedicated corporate sales staff.

Kia also intends to launch a lead management service in autumn for the whole network, and will be promoting the fact it offers fleets cars from A-sector to MPV and SUV. “We have good breadth of coverage,” says commercial director Alex Smith.
