Mitsubishi sales in the UK were down 11% from January to June compared to the same period last year.

The Japanese manufacturer said the drop was due to not having its new L200 in full supply and production of several models ending (Space Star, Shogun and Shogun Pinin).

However, European sales showed sustained growth, with sales totalling 143,544, a 4.7% increase on Jan-Jun 05.

Russia and Ukraine were the manufacturer’s best performing markets. Sales rose by 38% in Russia (34,056 Jan-Jun 06 vs. 24,726 Jan-Jun 05). Ukraine sales were up 77% (3,090 to 5,472).
