United Aftermarket Network (UAN) has made a series of supplier appointments, designed to strengthen the proposition of its distributors to independent garage customers.

Valeo has been appointed as an approved supplier for wipers and cooling products, while UK Batteries is approved on batteries. Also new to the group is Bestplate – approved on numberplates – and Four Seasons, which offers an extensive range of cooling products and air conditioning.

United Aftermarket Network has become a limited company. It is almost three years old and currently comprises 80 distributors and 130 branches. UAN managing director Andrew Dickinson said: “When UAN began, the promise was made that we would become a limited company, in order to show complete transparency to distributors and suppliers. As a result, the group will be managed by the UAN steering committee that will ensure that distributors interests are at the heart of group’s focus going forward and that the two percent rebate is used to benefit and grow the group.”
