The new Ford Focus, on sale in January 2008, will be on-the-road from £11,495.

It will cost £250 more than the equivalent outgoing model, and will now include ESP as standard.

The restructured range offers Studio, Style, Zetec, Titanium and ST trim models as well as petrol and diesel options.

Transmissions include five and six speed manual gearboxes, automatic and the new dual-clutch PowerShift automated gearbox jointly developed with GETRAG.

Each Focus is equipped with ESP, ABS, four airbags, electric front windows, CD player, central locking, height adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split folding rear seat, curtain airbags and Easyfuel capless refuelling system.

Focus Titanium, the top model, lists from £15,445. Revised Coupe-Cabriolet and sporty ST versions are expected to follow a few months later.
