Chrysler to shed 10,000 jobs

Chrysler is preparing to cut 10,000 of its US workforce as part of its restructuring plans.

The announcement comes on top of the 13,000 job cuts it announced in February which were also part of its ‘Recovery and Transformation Plan’.

Bob Nardelli, Chrysler chairman and chief executive, said: “The market situation has changed dramatically in the eight months since Chrysler established the Recovery and Transformation Plan as its blueprint.”
