Marshall Peterborough has appointed 18-year old Stephanie Lewis as its new service technician apprentice.

Lewis has been working at the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealer for two months and will be going on manufacturing training in Nottingham soon.

Sally Armour, service manager at Marshall Peterborough, said: “Stephanie did exceptionally well in her initial training, where she was assessed on different mechanical aspects of the job and her maths, English and general knowledge skills were also tested.

“She is currently learning about different areas of servicing with our technicians, including everything from routine maintenance to changing engines.”

Lewis will be joining three other females in the Marshall Peterborough service team.

Armour said: “This industry is becoming more and more accessible to women and Stephanie’s success demonstrates that if there’s something you want to do in life, then you should pursue it until you realise your dream.”
