Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has appointed Stephen Bateson as head of aftersales and customer services.

He will manage 25 department staff and ensure an efficient supply of parts and accessories across its unique network of dedicated van centres.

Bateson said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be responsible for this critical part of the business. I want to focus on further enhancing the ownership experience of our customers and particularly minimising any time their vehicles are off the road for service or repairs.”

Bateson has worked with VW for 10 years including time in operations, planning, used vehicles, training and development.
