Three employees of Fuel Parts UK have put together a successful management buy-out deal for an undisclosed sum.

The manufacturer and supplier of fuel and emissions components is now under the control of Andy West, operations director, who fronted the bid and is now the managing director.

Field sales manager, John Lord, and purchasing and product development manager, Neil Morgan, were also part of the new team. They have been appointed as sales director and purchasing director respectively.

West said: “Fuel Parts UK is a company with an enviable reputation in the aftermarket and, as the new owners, Lord, Morgan and I are very much looking forward to the challenge of taking it to the next level and becoming an even stronger performer.

“We’ve got some big plans for the business and are expecting them to have a positive effect on the service that our customers will receive.”

Outgoing managing director Tomlinson will continue to be involved with FPUK as a business consultant.

He said: “I’m pleased to have been able to hand the business over to a group that is capable of guiding Fuel Parts into the future and I wish Andy, John and Neil every success as the new owners.”

Fuel Parts UK was formed in 1985 by Tomlinson and turns over approximately £11 million annually.
