Dealers can sign up to the service for free but will have to pay £5 for a shared sales lead, where the customer’s information is shared between a maximum of three other dealers, or £10 for an exclusive lead.
After purchasing the lead, dealers can then view contact details including email address, telephone number, post code as well as the make, model and derivative of the car the customer is after.
David Long, managing director of Buyyourcar.co.uk, said: “The internet is an anonymous entity and customers will only give out their information if they’re genuinely interested.
“We’re already generating 100 new leads a day and Perrys has already signed up to the service.”
He also said a popular used car website was also about to adopt the system.
“Any dealer can join the service for free and they only pay when they want access to a sales lead,” Long added.
