Renault unveiled its forthcoming Laguna Coupe at two of Europe’s most glamorous events last weekend – the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix.

The model debuted in Cannes on Saturday, marking the carmaker’s 25th partnership year with the festival, before completing several laps of Monaco’s famous circuit in the hands of two Renault test drivers.

Aimed at spearheading a move upmarket, the Laguna Coupe will feature four wheel steering and two new Renault-Nissan Alliance V6 engines, a petrol and a diesel, both fitted with the same six speed gearbox.

The Coupe will also be offered with the other engines available in the rest of the Laguna range, and is expected to arrive in showrooms from October.
