Two UK car manufacturers are expected to hear this week whether they will get help from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

A meeting of the EIB at Luxembourg tomorrow will confirm loans to both Jaguar Land Rover's and Nissan's assembly plants in the UK for investment into sustainable technology.

JLR is expected to get £270m, while Nissan's Sunderland plant is expected to share a £364m loan with the Japanese brand's plant in Spain.
