Renault UK has appointed Phil York as its new marketing director.
York will oversee all of Renault UK’s advertising, direct marketing, product planning, pricing, vehicle distribution, plus market analysis, strategy and research.
He replaces Emmanual Bouvier who has returned to Renault’s head office to take up a new role as brand director for electric vehicles, as the company prepares for its launch of a range of EVs in 2011.
York began his Renault career in the UK as Clio product manager in 1998 and then brand manager for the Mégane and Scénic range in 2002. From here York moved to France, taking up the position of international product manager for Mégane. In 2006 Phil was promoted to marketing director for the eight countries that make up the Adriatic region.
