Smart has added more power to its Fortwo cdi model.

The Fortwo cdi engine has been boosted by 9bhp which takes the maximum power up to 54bhp which cuts the 0-62mph time by three seconds. Carbon dioxide levels are at 89g/km.

Smart has also revised the Pulse trim to now feature air conditioning and softouch transmission as standard.

Passion trim models get a Pioneer navigation and entertainment system as standard which includes sat-nav, Bluetooth, iPod/USB connectivity, CD and radio operation via a 4.3-inch detachable screen.

Smart has also revealed that it will be raising the starting price for its Fortwo range from £8,273 to £8,517 at the start of October.
