Good Garage Scheme has announced a membership price freeze until December 2010 which it said will “help thaw the effects of the recession”.

The organisation said following reports that the UK is on the road to recovery, it will freeze its £20 per month fees until the end of next year for its 2,764 members.

It added that the scheme has added value to membership this year by changing its website and launching a national TV advertising campaign to boost its profile and help generate business for its members.

It has also agreed an exclusive offer for members with Accept Cards to offer its credit card terminals to garages to help cut the cost of processing customer transactions.

Rachel Greasby, marketing director of the Good Garage Scheme, said: “Signs suggest the UK is emerging from the recession but we are conscious that businesses are still operating in a tough trading climate which is why we’ve taken the decision to freeze our membership fees until December, 2010.

“By doing this, our members will enjoy the enhanced Good Garage Scheme benefits while having the peace of mind that they can plan ahead financially for the year ahead.”
