The boss of a Ford dealership who was branded 'octopus arms' by female staff has been jailed for sexually molesting them.

Charles Archer was described by Judge Simon Hammond as a 'serial groper' who 'abused his position of power' over female trainees at his Ford dealership Archers of Ashby.

Leicester Crown Court had heard that Archer, managing director of the family business, had abused four female employees, including one instance when he was photographed at a party with his hand on a trainee's breast.

Archer was convicted on October 1 of 11 sexual assaults against women during 1989 and 2009 and jailed for two years.

He will be listed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years and, because three of his victims were aged under 18, has been banned from ever working with children.
