Family-owned dealer group Harratts is holding Volvo S60 drive events to coincide with its 25 year anniversary with the brand.

Harratts, which has 13 dealerships across Yorkshire, began selling Volvo cars in 1985 from a single outlet and has since risen up the ranks to become the UK’s second largest seller of the Swedish car manufacturer.

Harratts has built a partnership with the Swedish-based car manufacturer over the past 25 years, adding further Volvo dealerships to its initial Wakefield oulet as business continued to expand.

Customers of Harratts’ four Volvo dealerships in Leeds, Sheffield, Wakefield and Huddersfield will be invited to Bagden Hall Hotel, near Wakefield, on July 26 and July 28 July between 10am and 8pm on both days to drive the new S60. Volvo’s full range of cars will also be at the hotel for guests to view.

Nick Connor, sales director, Volvo Cars UK, said: “We have watched the motor group grow and develop over the years and we greatly value their expertise and experience in selling and servicing Volvo cars.

“We also value the fact that Harratts is a family-owned and regionally-focussed motor group; the company is an integral part of the local community and that is very important for us at Volvo. Here’s to another 25 successful years working together.”

Shaun Harratt, managing director of Harratts, said: “We are delighted to celebrate 25 years of selling Volvo and to have cemented our place as the UK’s second largest seller at the beginning of this year.”
